Seller left the barcode showing and within 12hrs of the photo of the e-gift card being sent to me by eBay message, a thief from here on eBay had spent the entire balance bar 90 pence. Item was not covered by the eBay money back guarantee so didn’t have a leg to stand on in regards to getting my money back from either the seller or eBay even though I was the only innocent party in the whole transaction! Not good.

I did not receive any proof of what had happened, i.e. a screenshot for example, and therefore was thinking about what to do re this. I then had a critical problem within the family that I had to travel to South Wales to deal with and did not see the feedback left by buyer until yesterday. They didn't ask for a refund but have left negative feedback without giving me chance or offering proof of the fraud. If I received proof, I may consider/have considered giving at least a partial refund.
