A good budget buy if you want an iPhone
I bought the iPhone 4S as replacement for a phone I'd outgrown. I always said I would never have an iPhone but as I had unwittingly over the years acquired an iPad and ipod it made sense as I can access everything between the three devices and that is incredibly useful especially for photos and music. The iPhone 4S is smaller than 5s and 6 but it is a sturdy phone, and I have just updated to iOS 8 aswell so it has the same operating system as the 5s and iPhone 6. But doesn't cost nearly as much thanks to manufacturers pumping new models out year in and out. Right the cons as with all apple products you cannot expand the memory so if you are going to go for any of their products always go for 16gb and over or storage will become a problem very quickly and leave you frustrated. I wouldn't recommend 8gb even for kids as they love their games and music as much as an adult. Design wise it is a small phone but the screen has good resolution but if you don't like small screens then avoid this phone. I have just come from using the samsung galaxy note and although it is quite a size decrease I find the iPhone 4S feels better quality and although the galaxy note and iPhone 4S have the same 8 mega pixel screen I think the iPhone 4S pictures are of a much better quality, as it has a better lens. As I have learnt it is all about the quality of the camera lens not the millions of pixels all phones brag. All in all I'm pleased with my purchase I still chuckle as I always said I would never own an iPhone. A lot of my friends and family have iPhones so it's great being able to use the handy FaceTime gadget to communicate. If you're looking for an iPhone on a budget but with the same operating system of the pricier newer models then this is a good buy. I will point out one important fact regarding networks. iPhones generally are not unlocked mainly because it costs between £60-£100 to unlock them. Do check with sellers of any iPhones whether they are truly unlocked. My son bought an "unlocked" iPhone and it was very misleading as it wasn't unlocked and he ended up buying nearly every sim on the market to try to get it to work, as seller didn't have decency to return his message when asked about network provider. So make sure you research first.
