Our Family socialise puppies on behalf of Hearing Dogs For Deaf People. We can have these cuddly puppies in our home for 8-12 months. During this time we socialise the puppy. Getting it used to everyday noises and sounds, meeting people other animals, various transport etc etc. We also give basic trainning in VOICE, WHISTLE & HAND SIGNALS. We train the puppy to sit, stay, lay down, return on command, walk to heel, not to jump up and when to go to the toilet! We reward the puppy when it responds to various sounds, cooker buzzer, telephone, doorbell etc. These puppies eventually go on to become Fully Working Hearing Dogs (Hopefully!) and as such WILL dramatically change the life of a deaf person. Anyone wishing more info about this great charity can contact me for details. I am always asked if we do this (Hard at times)work because a member of my family is deaf, the simple answer is NO. We live within 20 miles of the Charities headquarters and trainning facilities and wanted to help out.
