New lease of life for old ski boots
This was a perfect match for my 15 year old Salomon Sensifit ski boots. The old soles are consumable and needed replacing as the ‘meat’ of the actual boot toe and heel was starting to wear. Check the tread pattern and the length of the insert before buying as there are a couple of size options. Soles come with new screws and it’s a 10 minute job to change them over. My only complaint is that at over £50 for the pair they seemed expensive, but I struggle to find comfortable boots to hire as my boots are a 31.5 sole, so compared to the cost of a new pair of boots it seemed to make sense.

HD Monitor with upscaled SD freeview TV
0 of 1 found this helpful I bought this as a TV for the kitchen. However it was not quite what I was expecting as I mistook this for one with an LED backlight - my mistake. It is still reasonably slim though so this is not a problem. I bought it in preference to one of the supermarket own brand products on the basis that LG is a well known brand and I like the style. The other thing I realised once I had it unpacked is that it is primarily a monitor. The inputs are on the back but are recessed so wall mounting still OK. It has a good interface and touch sensitive buttons, and the EPG is clear and easy to use. My main niggle is that I expected freeviewHD - again my error but the way these TV's are marketed gives the impression, to me at least that they will give HDTV from the tuner - not the case here. Picture is upscaled SD, and in my view not that great. Not sure whether if this is because it is monitor with TV functionality? Having said all that for the price, this is a good value item and despite all that I have said I decided to keep it. Just dont expect HD television without a dedicated HD-set top box/HD-PVR.

I couldn'g get this in UK, so apparently this is a US import although it appeared to have been mailed from UK so no additonal fees on delivery. This vinyl pressing is excellent, no complaints at all. In fact, everything I've bought over the last few years either by Airbag or Bjorn Riis on Karisma label have been of similarly high quality - both in terms of the packaging and the pressing. Highly recommended.
