Sony Playstation 3 - all you need to know

two versions: 20gb and 60gb (maybe a 3rd version called UBER PS3, designed specifically for hardcore media gamers). will cost about £1000+
20gb: 20gb hard drive, hdmi, av ports, dolby 5.1 sound, all black
60gb: 60gb hard drive, hdmi, av ports, dolby 5.1 sound, silver trim along ps3, built in wifi to access internet, 3 card ports (memory stick duo, compact flash and SD/mini SD)
60gb: £425/$599
20gb: £335/$499
PROS:
60gb hard drive - upgradeable to any amount (needs to be 2.5" sata hard drive), just slot out the old 60gb one and put in a brand new one if you need more space
built in wifi, access internet anywhere if you got a wireless router.
PSP can wirelessly communicate with ps3 - THIS WILL BE A WICKED FEATURE LATER
true 1080p high defintion gaming (best graphics up to date)
next gen blu ray disc drive (blu ray is set to replace DVDs like they replaced VHS, they can store up to 50gb whereas DVD can only store 8.5gb. future versions of blu ray disc could store up to 200gb (MORE THAN MY COMPUTER!!!)
PS3 IS CHEAPEST BLU RAY PLAYER ON MARKET (SINGLE PLAYERS COST ABOUT £600
BECAUSE OF EXTRA SPACE, GAMES WILL LOOK MUCH BETTER AND HAVE MORE DETAIL ETC
up to 7 wireless controllers! rechargable via USB port (PS3 has 4), no need to buy new batteries every week.
MOTION SENSITIVE (instead of pressing the RIGHT arrow button to turn your car right, you just TILT the controller right and the vehicle will follow!
play PS1/PS2 games, even import your old memory card saves buy using an adapter (about £10-£15).
BLUETOOTH - link your phone to your ps3, bluetooth keyoard etc etc
firmware updates, every so often any errors will be fixed with downloaded updates - so it will be constantly improving!
FREE ONLINE GAMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THATS RIGHT, FREE!!!!!
no need to pay £40-£50 a year like xbox live, absolutley FREE
playstation store - here you can buy new games, movies and demos. just download them straight to your ps3 using internet. (THIS IS WHAT WE WILL DO IN THE FUTURE, DISCS WILL BE REPLACED WITH DOWNLOADED GAMES)

CONS:
SHORT SUPPLY - From the expected 4 million to 2 million by November 17th this will be leaving a lot of people high and dry for the Christmas season.
prices is EXPENSIVE
not many good games AT THE MOMENT (will be in future)
trouble playing ps1/ps2 games AT THE MOMENT
CANT THINK OF ANYMORE BAD POINTS REALLY?? MOST OF THEM WILL BE FIXED LATER ON

america, japan have the ps3 so you can import one now, prices are settling down a little from the absolute ridculous (up to £800).
ebay is good, find a good seller and buy one
WATCH OUT FOR CUSTOMS TAX (I WAS CHARGED £104 WHEN MY PS3 CAME)
