My name is Nigel (don't blame me -it was my mothers idea!). I am a true Cornishman -just don't call me english OK! but ,I help anybody with issues involving budget Hi-Fi from the 1960's onward.See my feedback for evidence!

It seems that `retro' is the new cool and many people want to resurrect their past love affair with vinyl!To this end, I mainly sell second hand record decks, accessories and cartridges to many places around the world after they have been used and tested in my own system. I have also sold my own memorabilia, books and collectibles but I try to stick to what I know best -budget Hi-Fi!

Not much really, except hi-fi & accessories to suit my own needs and system.

I do have a preferrence for Dual turntables -they look retro, are well built and have a distinctive `sweet' sound which never fails to please!However, the Pioneer PL12D -particularly the early versions, are emerging as the deck with the greatest staying power since the 1970's probably because they have no complicated mechanisms to sieze up during storage in lofts, garages etc and the motors are particularly resilient to inactivity whilst maintaining extraordinary speed stability when reactivated after cleaning & with a new belt. These decks can be easily improved and sound better than nearly all budget audiophile turntables today!

Rebecca, but don't mention `Straw Dogs'! Hitchcocks `The Birds' would have been a great film if had been set as per the story -in Cornwall!
