On the serious side, I would seek out the official label for your child, it might help in the future, if he needs further help. Without the official label, help in adulthood might not be offered.

It is really scarey that despite all our efforts and the increases in the rates of ASD so little is known about he condition out there. Cathhappy, I am so glad the tee worked with your youngest, and you are getting a little bit more tolerance in public. I agree with you, my eldest will be 17 this year, and the attitudes still haven't changed. If there is anything else you think I should be doing to raise awareness please let me know.

I have been there with anxiety attacks, I wish I could assure you that things get easier as our children get older, I am afraid to say, as one anxiety is reduced, another one takes its place, our children, you are right, have a very serious condition which is invisible, we must do more to raise awareness, and I hope my items help a little. My one regret is that we have to put billboards on our children to get get the message across to the public that OUR CHILDREN ARE NOT NAUGHTY BUT HAVE AUTISM.
