Following the IRA bombing of Manchester in 1996, a new shop was opened in Tib Street, called Beatin Rhythm, named after the legendary Northern Soul hit ‘That Beatin’ Rhythm’. Since then the shop has gone from strength to strength priding its self on having some of the friendliest and knowledge staff in the business, we also one of biggest rare 45s section in the UK. You can also find 1960s soul, doo-wop, northern soul, blues, country, girl bands and rock ’n’ roll on vinyl and CD. Some famous faces to pass through the big glass door include Paul Weller, Tim Burgess, Frank Wilson, Dennis Coffey, DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist, Kenny Dope.
