eBay My World: bigwitch2005( 5969)

I started selling on Ebay when I gave up doing the markets and carboots. I aimed to sell my stock gradually to pay for my purchases, but got sidetracked when I sold jewellery I made for the markets. The rest as they say, is history.

I sell Swarovski crystals which I make into jewellery items, but started selling jewellery findings which I sourced on Ebay. I try to sell at very low prices, as I found the prices vary greatly on Ebay. I use most of the items I sell so that you can be sure they are good quality. My range is constantly being increased, as I find new sellers with my kind of items.

I am always on the lookout for silver plate findings at a reasonable price, so that I can sell, and make a little profit to pay my fees and replenish my stock. I also buy beads beads, and semi-precious pendants and beads.

My passion is Wedgewood Jasperware. My grand-daughter loves it too, so my collection is her inheritance.

Apart from Ebay, I read lots of books, at the moment I am in the thriller mode. I still make jewellery, when I have the time.

I am always being asked if I am a real witch, so here is the reason behind it. When my grand-daughter was 3 or 4 years old, she loved the Bedknobs and Broomsticks video, and we pretended that I was a big witch and she was a little witch. We made loads of spells, especially turning grandad into various creatures and things she loved to eat, he was eaten so many times it's a wonder there is anything left of him. She is now a teenager but still pretends we are witches, but now it is for a laugh. So when I joined Ebay I couldn't think of a name, and my friend suggested bigwitch 2005, the year I joined ebay.

I have been selling since May 2005, and I hardly believe how successfull it has been. I have made some good friends with sellers and buyers alike, which has encouraged me to continue. The next step was to open a shop on Ebay and that happened in 2008.I became a Power seller in 2009 and also registered as a business, though I had to do this to continue selling. In fact I am only a little minnow in the ebay world, as the majority of my goods are around a £ each, so I have to sell a large number to pay for fees and stock. I still love selling though, and have no desire to stop for a long time to come.

I accept Paypal, cheques and postal orders only.

Postage is highest item first, then 50p for next 4 items. New for 2009, MY maximum postage is now £2.50 regardless of quantity bought. This will apply to all jewellery and findings. The only exception will be larger items such as storage or certain tools which weigh more than beads etc.

Returns at my descretion except when faulty or described wrongly.
