Animals and Sports
We are generally animal lovers. Our dog, Charlie lived to be 18, and was a wonderful pet. Since then we have had several cats. Right now we have Lily, an orphan from a litter at local cat shelter. We volunteered for several years at 2 different shelters in Oregon. Lily is sort of at the bottom of the gene pool, but is a really nice pet, although rather aloof most of the time.
We are long term Reds and Red Sox fans. Have seen both teams in action and follow progress. First Red Sox game in 1947 at Fenway Park, so not just jumping on the band wagon. Also, follow Bearcats and Black Bears. Ergo, the Blackbear ebay moniker.
We used to ski a lot and were ski instructors for school kids' program at Bromley Mt in VT for years. Rich played tennis in HS and Kodak, then for sport until into mid 60s. Some golfing.
Do a lot of walking and exercising now.

Travel
We like to travel and have taken trips to many European countries. Belgium, Holland, Germany, France, Luxenberg, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Spain. On a trip back from Luxenberg on Iceland Air we stopped over in Iceland and visited thermal springs, etc. We have visited England over 15 times and Wales and Scotland several times. Other than Canada and Mexico, no other American countries other than the Caribbean. Have been to Nassau, St John's, St Thomas, and St Croix.
Also have been to Fiji, Australia, and New Zealand.
We have visited about 2/3 of the US states including Alaska and Hawaii. Areas left are the SW and some Deep South states.
We took Amtrak from Portland, OR to Springfield, MA a few years ago, stopping in Chicago to tour the city. Took the Alaska State Ferry from Homer to Bellingham, WA. Stops in all major ports. 5 nights on ferry with one night in Skagway. Great option to cruise.
