All About Me

What everyone should know about me
I am a private seller and have been ebaying since 2003. I have a 100% positive record. I use ebay as a hobby to raise a little bit of cash to spend on ebay so I am lining somebody's pockets somewhere! (Certainly not my own!)

Business Information

History/background
I started ebaying back in 2003 when I told someone in work that our amplifier had broken. He gave me a few item numbers and told me to look them up on ebay. Not bad seeing as he was our IT guy and was supposed to stop us surfing on company time! He was an avid record collector though and he must have sympathied with my plight. (I didn't tell him that I didn't own a record player at that time) I bought loads of stuff after that before I thought about selling anything, and it was only after I had been to a boot sale and didn't make a lot that I decided to give ebay a try. There was no gate money or petrol costs incurred so I thought why not? I have been buying and selling since and have very little regrets. I buy more than I sell so it is not a money making business for me, but as Tesco say, 'every little helps'

Payment policy
I used to accept personal cheques and postal orders, but quite frankly they are more hassle than they are worth, and I have been let down with cheques so I will only accept Paypal now, as it is easy, quick and secure. I do offer 'cash at your own risk' for postage items, but no-one has ever opted for this. (I wouldn't trust the post with cash either!)

Delivery information
I do not try to rip people off with postage costs. I weigh each of my items and round them up to the nearest 100g, as this is what the post office does. I then check the cost on the Royal Mail website, and will add a reasonable charge for postage and packing. (50p - 75p). I send most of my items in postage bags with 'document enclosed' labels and these are not free, neither is the ink or paper for my printer, so I am not making money from your postage on top of your final purchase price. I always obtain proof of postage. However, as I found out to my cost recently (Feb 09) this means nothing when you try to trace a lost item as standard parcels cannot be traced. I ended up giving a couple of refunds as a show of good faith. On the flip side of this, I am still waiting for sellers to return my emails for lost items, so I will no longer offer a refund for lost items, and I now offer 2nd class recorded as my chosen postage method as this is roughly the same price as 1st class standard.

Return policy
I try to be as honest as I can with my listings and will answer any questions asked to ensure the buyer knows what they are getting. I will not accept refunds for items that are too small, too big, wrong colour, buyer has changed their mind etc. Ebay is a hobby of mine, not a business. I do not have replacement sizes/colours etc to offer. I have had to re-sell items I have bought if they don't fit, I would expect you to do the same; you never know, you might even make a profit!

Contact information
You can contact me through the 'contact seller' or 'ask seller a question' section on ebay. For obvious reasons I don't want to give out my email address or mobile number!
