Collection of Fish-inspired Marillion tunes
As a relatively late admirer of Marillion's music (Misplaced Childhood) I've kinda grown up on the Steve Hogarth version, so I was keen to pick up this compilation to "fill in" the gaps. Whilst it's very interesting to listen to the early musical influences and great Fish lyrics, overall I was a little disappointed with the effect. Without a shadow of doubt, the musicianship at the time was certainly adequate, but it's the (in my opinion) feeling that I'd heard that riff or chord before, and I was beginning to wish for something a bit different to hear, you know, something like Marillion do now, which, to me, is the sign of a truly interesting group. Having said that, I'm pleased with the album, but may not play it as much as I play the newer, Steve Hogarth-inspired tracks.

The Corrs - Forgiven Not Forgotten
Very slick debut album, well produced, works on a variety of levels. The musicianship is excellent, and the vocal is very strong. Recommended Corrs album.
