I am dismayed that a new policy is being enforced which prohibits me from using the word ivory in any way in any advert. Even the term fossil ivory will cause me to only be able to sell within the UK. eBay are enforcing this rule with no regard to the fact that these compassionate ivories are helping dissuade collectors from wanting ivories from extant animals which are already under threat of extinction. They are blindly banning even the mention of the word in a description so I cannot say Tagua Nut 'Ivory', for instance. Or this 'ivory' is 10,000 years old and no animal was harmed farming it. Such ridiculous enforcements, which will ultimately lead to an explosion in demand for living ivory as people can longer find fossil and vegetable substitutes to add to their collections. I am on the point of being susupended by ebay because I have had the temerity to fight back and argue with them. So I wish to thank you now for your support and beg you to contact eBay and complain.Thankyou!
Business InformationHistory/background
Started selling Chinese netsuke in 2005 on eBay. Have been trading as 'chrissicats' on eBay since 2004 though, selling china cats and cat related items, plus oil paintings. This netsuke business has grown slowly and last autumn I opened this shop to enable me to have a permanent stock of wood and ivory items in addition to the weekly auctions. This is working out very well indeed. Most of my customers are in the United States but I also have regular customers in Spain, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and of course the UK.
Payment policy
Overseas winners MUST pay by Paypal; the Bank charges otherwise are prohibitive. UK customers may pay by banker's or personal cheque, Postal Order or Paypal.
Delivery information
I usually post as soon as payment is cleared. Very often this is the same day as payment! My feedbacks will tell you I am a speedy eBayer! When the customer pays by Paypal echeque then I have to wait often 10 days for clearance - Paypal tell me when the cheque is cleared. If the customer is a regular one then I will not wait for clearance. This applies to regular cheques too - if I know the customer then I will post as soon as I recieve the cheque payment. My postage fees are as cheap as I can make them. I actually lose a bit on each item as I buy new boxes and other items such as tape...if it happens that the postage is less than I predicted, this amount is taken off the next purchase. But you have to come back to benefit from that!
Return policy
I will always accept the return of any item as long as it reaches me in the same box, original wrapping and undamaged. I will return the monies paid to me plus the postage fee back. If the item is damaged and you supply photographic evidence then your payment is returned at once. Photographic evidence or the item returned is necessary to claim damage from the Post Office.

If I could offer you a nice cup of tea & a scone whilst you browse I would do so! I try to inject humour and interest to my descriptions & I hope my love of these little things shows. I appreciate all of my customers and I am grateful to them, to you, for browsing and shopping with me.
