I have just adopted a wonderful 1yr old yorkshire terrier from littledogrescue.co.uk. Baxter (formerly Bambi) was a rescue dog from a puppy farm in wales. These people keep their breeding dogs in crates and holes in the ground. The males have ropes put around their neck and are physically made to mate with the female. this often causes them great distress and pain. Baxter is a failed stud dog and thankfully ended up with Many Tears animal rescue in wales. From there he was sent to his foster parent Chris in Reading who nurtured him from the 20th february 2009 until I adopted him on the 10th may 2009. this little man is still so afraid of humans and rightfully so.....please please do not buy puppies unless you can see both parents.....you would quite possibly be contributing to animal suffering if you buy any other way. Baxter and the other dogs rehomed by littledogrescue.co.uk are the lucky ones....MANY ARE NOT! SOME ARE EVEN SHOT BY THESE EVIL BREEDERS WHEN THEY ARE NO LONGER USEFUL
