An excellent barbel and big-fish rod
I have used many types of rod for barbel, river carp, big chub, etc but these Wilson rods are excellent: very nice to look at, for starters, but with a perfect action in normal or extended configurations and an absolute pleasure to use. I have three of them and they have pretty well replaced my other (more expensive) rods - I use them for all my legering and feeder angling. Highly recommended and incredibly good value!

superb rods
These rods are absolutely superb - I have used three of the barbel version of this rod for some time with excellent results - the bite detection subtlety, striking power and cushioning and fighting strength are second to none in any price bracket: casting, hooking and playing double figure barbel and other species including tench, carp, chub, pike, big eels is an absolute pleasure - I rate these rods as the modern equals to my old beloved split cane Richard Walker Mk IVs. These lighter versions are every bit as good as the specimen rod, I cannot recommend them highly enough, the price is fantastic for two rods of this quality. These are genuine lifetime 'keepers' - a classic design.
