Getting to know Donnie Munro's Solo style
This is an excellent way to get a taste of Donnie Munro's music without Runrig. His distinct vocals bring you instantly to all your favourite Runrig songs but there is a slight difference in the delivery. Even the couple of Runrig songs that appear on the album are trated differentyly. There is an excellent rendition of Flower of Scotland that should get even the hairs on your arms tingling. From this I would definately go out any buy more of Donnie's solo work.

Life is good in Cartoon Motion
I had obviously heard Grace Kelly being played over and over on the radio but it wasn't until I heard the album that I really understood what Mika was all about! An impulse buy when we ere driving home from a trip to Scotland. It was the perfect soundtrack for a sunny day driving through beautiful scenery. Love Today and Big Girl (you are beautiful) are my particular favorites but Lollipop appeals to my 15 yr old step son and the hubby likes Stuck in the Middle, although we can all agree on Happy Ending. There is not one song on this album that you can say you truly don't like, once you have given it a chance. If you like to have a bit of a boogie round the house whilst getting ready to go out, or even doing the hoovering this is a perfect CD for you - give it a try, you won't be disaappointed.

Best film made in a long time - it is a classic of the future
Jack gets bored of being the King of Halloween, somethign is missing in his life, and he decides to find a new Holiday to take over! Unfortunatley he picks Christmas and it culminates in the worst Halloween and Christmas ever!! They kidnap santa, make toys that bite you and steal all the peace and goodwill from the holiday! In the meantime the Halloween town is left not knowing where they are anymore as planning for Halloween is their lives - with Jack gone oogie Boogie sees his chance to take over. Concurrently there is a love story brewing between Jack and Sally who has been made by Dr Finklestein to serve and worship him, but she can't help herself and falls for Jack, sadly he is too wrapped up in his plans to steal Christmas and doesn't realise that what he is looking for is right in front of him. However when he does realise Sally has been captured by Oogie Boogie and is being held with Santa. Does Jack manage to save the day????.... Tim Burton at his absolute best, with animation that still felt like animation. I have loved this film since I first saw it many years ago (1993), fell in love with the characters on display in Disney and it just holds a place dear in my heart. I finally had to give up the VHS when my machine packed up and this is why I bought the DVD.
