ESR ENCLOSURE JUNCTION BOX ADAPTABLE PVC PLASTIC IP56 WATERPROOF 240x190x90mm

Good enclosure at a good price
Handy enclosure that I’m using to house a LED transformer. Good selection of sizes available. Well made. Quite robust, though I would imagine it’s not going to be super impact resistant, but what do you want from an enclosure. It’s water tight and no dirt ingress.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10
I'll start off by saying that this is my first smart phone. My previous phone was a Nokia N95 that I used for the usual phone stuff inc email, internet and GPS. Well this one blows it out of the water. Navigating using the touch screen is a doddle, as is using the touch screen keyboard. Initially it takes some getting used to, but before long you are almost at pc keyboard speed. The GPS is very fast and accurate and the route planner is good. My phone is on 3 network and I have no issues with signal or connection speeds. It checks my email frequently and again is easier to use than my previous phone. I'm just getting into the apps that you can d/load for it. That are loads of naff ones out there, but some pretty good ones as well. One which you will probably think is naff (but I think is good is one that tells you what every star in the sky is. All you do is hold up your phone and where ever you point it, it tells you what you are looking it. Not that I'll use that very much. Reports say battery life is poor, not lasting a day, but I'm finding it now last 2 days. That's using the interent, it auto checking my email every 10 mins, light phone call use and text use. Wifi I have on all the time, blutooth I have switch off unless needed. Also I shut down apps when I'm not using them. Anyone that has had a N95 soon gets into this habbit or the phone crashes, so I've kind of carried on doing that. It keeps the phone fast and the battery life good. Camera quality is brilliant. My N95 was good, but this exceeds it. I don't use social networking sites, but this phone has built in apps for all that should you need them. Reports also say that it's using an old version of the android operating system (it is, 1.6). The latest (2.1) allows multi touch (ipod like pinch zoom etc) amongst other things, but I've never experience that so I don't miss what I've never had. MP3 play back and search is cool and there is a built in app that if you hear a song that you like but don't know what it is, it will recognise it and tell you what it is. I use outlook on my pc and had my previous phone sync-ed with the pc. There is no direct sync tool available which I find a major downer. You can work around it, but I liked being able to sync contacts, calendar and tasks in one simple click of the button and this is not available, so you have to mess around somewhat to get a half-ar*ed solution. Ok I could waffle on for ever so I'll cut to the chase. PROS: Touch screen, internet brousing, sending email, texting CONS: No direct sync for outlook, ring and ear volume low Neither good or bad: Battery life, no multitouch This is a very good phone, but I can imagine if you are already a smart phone user then you may find it not so good. Going from an iphone to this I can imagine would be a slightly backwards step, but as I can this sim free and unlocked for almost 1/2 the price of an iphone, then this in my opinion is the winner.

CURRENT COST CC128 ENVI ENERGY ELECTRICITY ELECTRIC MONITOR

Current Cost 128 Envi
As a basic energy monitor it works fine. I have it coupled up to both my energy used (elec meter) and my solar generated (solar meter). You can see what you’re generating or using from the Envi screen. There is also an RJ45 socket which you can connect to a pc, Raspberry Pi, etc. I have it connected to a Pi and it exports all the data to PVoutput.org.
