Why I bought a Nikon D40 (body only) DSLR
3 of 3 found this helpful The Nikon D40 was originally supplied with the Nikon AF-S 18-55mm kit lens.
This lens works well, probably anybody interested in buying a second or third
Nikon body will already have one of these or perhaps one of the other AF-S lenses.
The D40 is small & incredibly light for a Nikon DSLR, it was the last to use the
Sony 6MP CCD, Nikon had got good at getting the best out of that CCD.
It will work well without the need for a mechanical shutter at higher speeds.
This means that it is capable of flash syncing at 1/500th for superior daytime fill flash.
Handling & resulting pictures are excellent, I carry a D40 instead of a bridge camera.
On the negative side, there is no motor drive for the old style of AF lens.
There is no top LCD to display the camera information, this is cleverly done on the rear
LCD screen, it becomes very intuitive after a while.
It only has three CAM sensors, I must say that they work very well, I don’t miss the extra
sensors that the larger cameras retain.
The D40 is not available new, it has been replaced by cameras that offer little extra for
More money. I bought a Nikon refurbished unit that I couldn’t tell from new.
I paid around a third of the new price on ebay. Well worth it.
If you have any doubts about buying one, I’d Google Rockwell D40.

Good Early AC/DC
4 of 4 found this helpful The sleeve info suggests that these tracks were recorded around 1976.
It seems that the album didn't go on general release until 1981.
The lyrics are rather juvenile even by AC/DCs atandards.
However they are great to shout along to in the car with nobody to offend.
It would have been nice if the other tracks R.I.P & Jailbreak could have been
added, I believe that they were on the original vinyl that I bought.
At these prices, well worth buying.

Why I bought an LG Viewty KU990

After some research, I found the LG Viewty, this seemed to meet my needs.
I believe that this was an expensive phone in 2007. Price was £XXX
The specifications appear to suggest that this does everything I need,
WITHOUT the need for itunes. In my opinion a very good thing.
Will report fully on the phone when it arrives.
