Two of the best ska/reggae compilations I have ever bought.
I'm not going to write a review like you see on some websites
as if I think I am a staff writer for some music magazine/newspaper. I have owned these 2 selections on vinyl for a long time and they have always been among my favourite and most frequently listened to ska/reggae albums. I was delighted to find them on CD (as was my son who has just discovered bluebeat, ska, reggae and dub). If you like ska/reggae that is not always as polished as some releases in terms of sound quality but which has life and a roots feel to it, then you will love this item. It reminds me of a great club in Dalston, London that has long since disappeared. Volume 2 is probably overall the better of the 2 albums and I can't help but dance to the final 5 tracks ! Highly and
unequivocally recommended.
