Business InformationHistory/background
I am not a business seller. All the items I sell belong to me or my husband, occassionally a close family member like my Mum.
I look after my things and so the items i'm selling are either New,or else in excellent/very good condition.
If there is damage to anything,I will bring it to your attention.
This saves time, money and disappointment. I believe we all have a right to receive value for money, whatever we buy or wherever we buy it.
When you bid or buy items on the internet,I thing it is important to describe an item in detail. To give you a true sense of what it is really like, including the texture, weight, colour and style. I also try to take useful photographs. I think they need to be clear, show the things you would look at if inspecting it in a shop. Unclear, dark or blurred photographs are a waste of everyone's time and money as they may as well not be there.
I give dimensions where appropriate,e.g. bags etc. and I will give actual garment measurements as well.
Payment policy
Paypal and Crossed Postal Orders. I don't accept cheques for 2 reasons, 1. I am not able to get to the bank very often and 2. I do not want to know anyone's personal financial information.
Delivery information
My P&P charges are for cost of stamp and the mailbag/jiffy bag. That's all. As I'm not a business seller I'm not charging for my time. I also don't charge for trips to the sorting office. I choose to sell my things on ebay, no-ones forcing me and part of that choice is that things have to be posted. So why should you have to pay for that on top. There are obviously ebay listing fees, final value fees, Payapal fees etc. All these are taken into account when I decide on the starting price of my items. Anything on top of that is what I will receive for selling that item.
Return policy
I do accept returns, if you feel that I have not accurately described an item or if I have missed damage etc. which after all I'm only human, and mistakes can be made. This gives buyers confidence on bidding and me the satisfaction that I will never unwittingly mislead or cheat someone who buys from me. That way we all feel safer and more confident in the ebay system of buying and selling.
Contact information
I can be contacted via ebay messaging and email. I check both regularly when I have items listed and for a week after a listing ends.
Your Personal Information and Security
I ask buyers to leave feedback when they receive their item, for 2 reasons.
1. So that I know it has arrived safely and that you are happy with it.
2. Whenver I post an item I obtain a certificate of posting, which has your name and address on it. Once I know the item has arrived I shred that certificate. That way your personal information is not left lying around or accessable to people who rummage through rubbish ( and beleive me people do ).
