Playing the same old stuff for years? - this will move you on.
This is a simple book of scales - each example is in a key (or two) but the patterns can be moved around the neck. If you are comfortable with playing, but stuck with the same ol' blues scale when it comes to a solo, then this is ideal. It is not really suitable for a complete beginner. Find a backing track in the right key - youtube or where-ever- and use this book to find scales that work. You'll soon see how the various types sound different - minor, Spanish-tinge etc. I have learnt more in a week than the last 2 years. Nice to have in a book too - fits in the guitar case.
Highly recommended.
