Extreme Dreams was first launched, in 2002, as an extreme sports website, based around the adventures of it’s founder Dean “Deano” Dunbar. Deano is a registered blind extreme sports enthusiast, who has travelled the world looking for his next adrenaline fix. In 2004 we launched the Extreme Dreams ebay shop. We had spent many years searching for the best kit for the job, whether it be backpacking in South America, white water rafting in Nepal, white water sledging in New Zealand, canyoning in Spain, bodyboarding in Cornwall or even playing footbag in Perthshire. Along with our own personal kit, we’d seen what the professionals were using and wanted to offer this to other enthusiasts. Our range is constantly growing as we discover great new kit. So whether you’re taking the kids out for the day, walking the dog, heading off around the world on a gap year, or entering an adventure race, check out our shop. Extreme Dreams have been involved in adventure and extreme sports since 2002. However, Deano has been doing these crazy things since the mid 1990s. Along with tandem skydiving in England, jungle trekking in Ecuador, white water rafting in Nepal, bungee jumping off cranes, bridges and out of cable cars, Deano's claims to fame include - The first registered blind person, in the world, to: bungee jump from a helicopter, white water sledge the world’s highest commercially run waterfall, be thrown by the Dangerous Sports Club’s Human Catapult, participate in the gruelling 5 day Hebridean Challenge adventure race, and set a time record around the Isle of Wight in a Thundercat power boat. Deano and his wife, Rhona, are also the first people to hydrospeed the River Tay, from Loch Tay to Perth (over 75km) which they did in September 2007. Along with those high octaine activities, Deano can often be found on his mountainbike bouncing around tracks in Perthshire or paddling down local rivers.

Extreme Dreams doesn’t just stock any old item, we stock kit that does what it is supposed to do. We spend most of our spare time outdoors, so want kit that will do the job. That is the kit we sell!! Along with the great kit, Extreme Dreams also offers great service and communications. When you buy something from Extreme Dreams, we will send you a confirmation email, informing you of when your order will be dispatched and to what address it is going. If you order and pay before 15.30, Monday to Friday, we will aim to dispatch your order that day. (If you buy an item which is delivered via courier, it will be dispatched at 11.00, Monday to Friday, as stated in the item description.)
