Poor quality Knock-Off!
The gauge of these picks is inconsistant and the logo is odd! I am guessing they are knock - Off, Genuine Alice picks are definately more consistant! Stan Gee.

‘Patriotic Solos for Ukulele 10 Patriotic Songs of the U.S.A.’
The book in question is one of three I have purchased recently, but all three can have the same criticism leveled at them: they are cashing in on the trend that appears to offer Ukulele players an interesting alternative to their usual simplistic beginners fayre, but in reality offer very little (6 pages outlining the rudiments of written music, & 10 pages of actual tunes) and charge, in my view, a lot for it!
For a start, I would be very surprised if anyone in Ukulele land could direct me to a decent academic approach to teach Ukulele players how to read music, but this effort certainly does not fill that gap!
You might say that it does exactly what it says on the can! True, it has ten incomprehensible tunes in standard notation, and to be fair, not a bad tablature version under-neath the notation! But that is far from a realistic scenario if you have any inkling of what the average ukulele player is accustomed to? What is missing: well for a start it says ’10 Patriotic Songs’ but there are no Lyrics! Secondly; no Chord Symbols! So we are denied the simple pleasure of strumming a simple accompaniment whilst singing what we already vaguely know. Lastly, it does not identify the key, for those clever souls who know enough to change the key to suit their voices, the single most important aspect of playing songs.
One of the things I have learned from 50 years of teaching music, is that you can’t learn to read music from playing tunes, you learn music by playing graduated excercises designed to teach you to read music. The quantum leap this book anticipates is totally unrealistic, but the nice shiny cover has sold another book, so who cares besides me?

Does not do what it 'Promises on the can' Promises much but gives very little. Massive disappointment!
Obviously missing a Vocal or Melody line on the disc to give a newcomer a hint of of the tune they are trying to accompany!
