An excellent read for history lovers.
Fabulous book giving insight into the medieval world.. It's a hefty book and I'm 3/4 of the way through and dreading coming to the end.

A fantastic read.
1 of 1 found this helpful A brilliant book following the life of Thomas Cromwell from his early life, through his relationship with Cardinal Wolsey and his rise in the court of Henry V111. The book takes you through his role in the events which lead to the downfall of Katherine of Aragon and Henry's obsession with and marriage to Ann Boleyn. Beautifully written and a fabulous read. I dreaded finishing the book but was consoled with the fact that I had the sequel 'Bring up the bodies' which I have sadly just finished.
