I started ebaying after an accident that amost parylised me, I walk a few yards several times a day as it is not going to beat me, since stopping working boredome was a major problem but ebaying has helped in a big way and kept me sane !!!BIG TIME!!!

Basically anything and the more interesting the better, and if I can sell something somebody reallty wants or needs I feel I have helped or acomplished giving someone a bargain and made a couple of pounds or so along the way, I like to buy cheap and then pass the bargain on!!!

I like old tools and modern tools especially metalworking tools as I was an aprentice blacksmith when I left school and have built myself a small workshop even in my condition as it is not going to ruin my life, i also buy quite a bit of caravan stuff as I bought one this year and love the peace and tranquility it brings.

I am a collector of tools and do use them when I have good days restoring my old girl mucky martha, (series 3 landy)and will probably take forever but I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to doing jobs!!!

My main hobby now is e-bay but love doing cardinal work ( making things from ferrous and non ferrous metals especially furniture etc, I also love doing mucky martha up.

I love to read Dean R Koonts novels and also quite a few others James Masterton, James Herbert, Stephen King and this kind of genre especially anything to do with horror, I seem to get a thrill out of being spooked!!!

Sexy Beast, and all films with Ray Winstone, Ben Kingsley, Sir John Mills, Tom Hanks, Mel Gibson, Robert De-niro, Gene Hackman, Matt Damon, Joe Pesci, Robert Carlyle, Johnny Depp, Jaques Tatis and anybody that can act really especially Gritty films and not just this kind I also love other kinds of film that are very well acted like Wolf Creek or Full Metal Jacket or the English Patient, Braveheart, Gladiator, Ghandi, spaghetti westerns, the talented Mr Ripley etc and love comedies my favourite of all time is the three fugitives and still crack up just seeing the characters, I could go on forever!!!

I love UB40 all of it, I like quite a varied mixture and love easy listening such as pipe music, Irish whistle and pipe also scotts bagpipe I ljust like the haunting kind of melodies, I also love to listen to female artists with powerfull voices, Celine Dion, Leanne Rhimes, Jennifer Rush, Whitney, Randy Crawford, etc etc!!!

The top has to be Only Fools and Horses, Victor Meldrew, Jeremy Kyle I dont know why but find myself fascinated quite regularly, Fawlty Towers, God Im showing my age now lol, I also like My Family, anything that is interesting and probably boring to others especially oldie worldy stuff such as the Fred Dibnah Series whom I have also met and had a couple of lengthy chats about stuff before his passing away as I am very interested in very similar things as he was. I also like such as antiques roadshows and builders from hell type programms etc!!!

I like to be seen as a bit of a gentlemann that likes to do a deal and have a bit of a glint in my eye with a bit of devilment thrown in, I never try to wrong anyone and like to do a bit of wheeling and dealing, I also are the type that when I do a job I try and do it right as the saying goes and especially doing things as they were done in the past, for example I tend to make wrought iron railings and gates etc as a hobby but are always being asked by someone or other and do them in my own time when I can, but I especially like doing them when they have to leaded into the walls etc as they were years ago and still see in many churches today, I used to have a company with my father who has recently passed away (god bless his soul and cherish it forever) and we were one of I think only two in West Yorkshire still doing them. I love a laugh and a joke and try not to live life full of sorrow and worry, I cant afford it in my condition, BUT I will not be walked over and take no crap!!!

As I mentioned above I started e-baying really since becoming disabled to help keep me doing something to pass the time through the day ( to stop me going insane as I have a very active brain and do like to excersise this) So in the beginning it was my saviour and nowadays I am just addicted and have to take a step back now and again to stop it ruling me but have now found a happy medium whereas I do other things such as I have mentioned earlier and try to do something different and within my capability everyday and also try to get as many weeks away as possible in the van, the kids love it too!!!

I prefer paypal but accept cash or cheque bankers draft postal orders etc etc!!!

I always unless payment is not cleared try to send items within one working day or sameday if possible and always try to package things well, I try to be as accurate as I can with postage charges and only try to charge approximately half for the packaging as often as I can as I beleive it should be quality and shared in cost between the buyer and seller. I often tell people CHEAP PACKAGING IS NOT GOOD, AND GOOD PACKAGING IS NOT CHEAP!!! and beleive this code to be a good one where packing is concerned.

I always accept returns if posted back to me for whatever valid reason, and if the reason upon my inspection is a honest valid reason I will normally give a full refund including what ever costs have been including return postage, but I must vet all returns first, I am a honest Guy and not in business to rip people off I do it as a bit of fun and sport not taking it too seriously as if my life depended on it, it is merely an hobby and so beleive in fairplay!!!

Usually by ebay message or e-mail, once dealings are entered into or serious questions need to be asked etc etc I will forward a telephone number to a particular person.

Some people take e-bay far too seriously and I suppose if it is your income as a business you have to sometimes as there is some uncouth people out there that try to scam or rip people off or are downright malicious or unfair not letting someone sort a problem out that has happened and they leave negative feedback, Ebay is about how a transaction is handled and what the seller does to sort a problem out, If you get something and there is a problem allow the seller to sort it out and if it is satisfactory you should be leaving good feedback, ok if it is a genuine case where someone is being ignorant or evading contact etc give em it both barrels, but give honest people a chance first, It is all down to communication, this is the key to good ebaying and manners and politeness cost nothing, and all the serious guys and gals out there dont get stressed about anything untill you have to it can usually be sorted out and if you cop for a wrong un give em both barrels, but play fair!!!

I am so sorry if any of the above has bored anybody to tears but have tried to give a true account of my own perception of my self, I am probably miles out on the details my missus would probably point out and say all the opposite OH WELL it is only a bit of fun at the end of the day and I really do beleive in any values that I have mentioned above but like I say life is too short so dont live it too seriously, try having a bit of fun, I dont want to pass away in a well preserved body when at the pearly gates, I want to skid in sideways creatin as much laughter and chaos as possible when I go!!!!
