I am not aware that "Meutes" from 1971 by Philippe Ledoux has even been faked. The Harrod's label from that period is also a good sign. So I think you have a good find there!

Hi, I recently found a Hermes scarf entitled Muetes. It is hand rolled on the front side and has a pack of dogs on it and a riding hat in the middle. It has a Harrods label sewn on it and I was wondering if this design has been known to have been faked. Any ideas on this? Thanks

I found this guide to be very helpful. I refuse to resale replicas or fakes. There are times that I do estate sales or auctions and always want to assure that the items are genuine. I have tried to take things directly to the store itself and they are not much help typically. I did find the counter woman at Neiman's was very nice and didn't mind looking. Again thanks for taking the time to put the guide together.

Dear Geoff You are a star. We need more of you on ebay. Like you said, they cannot (or will not) police the website and it is a goldmine for fakes ! I have many Hermes scarves and wear them all but buy them in France from one of my reputable dealers. Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post all these guides for us. I'm about wetting my pants at the moment because after studying the scarf I bought today against all your many guides re: Hermes fakes I think I have the real deal and am sooo pleased! (Duh.) Your effort is very much appreciated.

It sounds like "Charreada" from 1990 by Jean de Fougerolle. I have seen it in the colours that you describe. If it is then it has the title top centre border. Email me if you need further help.

My friend and I were vintage shopping and she picked up a Hermes silk scarf. I don't know much about them and we are trying to determine if it's real or fake. It's tan with red and blue and it has cowboys lassoing horses and it looks rather old. Ever heard of anything like this?
