Superb lens protection
When you have a fixed-lens camera that you've lusted after for some time, and can finally afford, it makes sense to protect the lens – at virtually any cost. After all, if the lens gets scratched the camera is useless – and valueless.
So the first hurdle is crossed, you need a lens protector. The second is how much you want to spend. Well if you've finally got your hands on that camera you don't want its performance to be compromised – so that means buying the best.
No doubt there are other contenders out there but most of the photographers at the top of their game acknowledge that B+W are at the top of theirs. Enough said?

Universal doesn't always mean universal
Maybe it was me, but I assumed that the screw threads that secured a 'universal' ball head would be – well, universal.
Unfortunately not.
I'm now looking for an adapter that might reduce the thread to the required dimensions - or increase the thread of my Leica tripod.
