Against All Odds

The trilogy is simply compelling viewing for me. The films are so different whilst having a common theme of the loner against the many. Rather like the King Fu TV programme. Maybe Freud would read something into that about me!
Having watched the films whenever I could on TV, it seemed right to buy the Rambo DVD trilogy and eBay seemed the best option. After reviewing the various offers, I won an auction for the trilogy for £1.00! I was delighted with not only the price but also the quality of the DVD.
My DVD has given me a great comfort factor that helps me relax after a long hard day in the office, when there is so little to watch on TV at the moment. Rambo is selective viewing and my DVD allows me to watch it on my PC in our study without bothering any members of my family. The films are exciting and fulfilling for me, which help me enormously.
Watching great films again enhances my appreciation of them and films
like Rambo have struck a very strong chord with the general public, especially in the USA. The trilogy relates to a different era, but the essence of them is still partly relevant today. The script is slick in all three films and there are no bad scenes in any of the films.
Rambo has it's place in film history and you either like it or you do not. Variety is the beauty of films: Crash deserved to win the Best Film at the Oscars this year, because it is so different and powerful. Whilst not winning such accolades, the Rambo trilogy is also so very different and powerful, whilst being thoroughly enjoyable, time after time.
