What I wanted

A good performer but in my opinion, in need of mechanical beefing up
0 of 2 found this helpful I traded up to the G1X in January to take advantage of better resolution from the large sensor. It performed well and my only criticism of features was the (expected) poor macro performance.
Due to my error, the camera lens assembly was damaged due to a relatively small knock and repair is uneconomic. Although Canon deny it, I maintain the plastic fitting at the front is not up to its job.
