All About MeWhat everyone should know about me
My primary interests are music and hifi equipment. I am an electronics/mechanical engineer by trade and have been actively involved in the pursuit of audio perfection since the age of four. That was forty years ago.

InterestsFeedback
There is sadly an increasing distrust between buyer and seller these days, Gone are the days when I would leave feedback immeadiately after payment! I have had my fingers burnt too many times by unscrupulous buyers that use the feedback as blackmail, as in (it hasn't been delivered) or (damaged in the post) etc etc. I will leave you feedback as soon as you have left it for me. I take your positive feedback to mean that all is well and to represent closure on the transaction. If you have an issue then contact me prior to leaving feedback and I will do my very best to sort things out.I hate having to do things this way but experience has taught me that this the only defence against people that treat ebay as some kind of joke or as an opportunity to attempt fraud. Please accept this policy in the spirit that it is meant, If you disagree with these terms then DON'T BID! I always leave positive feedback when goods arrive & dont expect to get feedback for payment until I have left it for you
Business InformationDelivery information
A word on postage charges, I find it increasingly frustrating that people misunderstand postage fees! For instance if I ask for £17.50 for postage for an item and then you see that only £10.70 has been paid for the stamp, Have you been ripped off? No you have not! It takes me time to carefully pack and label your item, boxes tape and pens are not free! then I have to drive to the post office, petrol is not free! Then I have to stand in the post Office for ages sometimes in excess of half an hour! Plus don't forget your £17.50 has been reduced by the time paypal has taken their pound of flesh. So if I have put all this time and effort into packing and delivering your item to the post office, lets say one hour of my time minimum and end up with an extra couple of pounds for it I would call that cheap! wouldn't you? Who do you know that works for £2 an hour?! Also remember that at the moment you have paid for your item then you can collect it if you wish.
Return policy
Again this with regards to Items damaged in the post. Hifi is fragile at the best of times and damage in the post especially to turntables is extremely likely!! If you require postage then it is up to YOU to specify if you require insurance! There is no point going for the cheapest possible postage option and then complaining when your item is smashed to bits and asking me to assume responsibility for it.......I won't !! If you need insurance this is up to you to request and pay for it!
Goods damaged in post
When you bid on an item and then win and pay for it it is then your property. The next best possible thing that you can do is collect it in person, this way you can guarantee that the item arrives at your home in the same condition that it left mine.If you choose to entrust your prized aquisition to the Royal mail this is fine by me, after all it is yours now. I will pack it well and deliver it to the Post office for you. After that it is no longer my responsibility! I have had hifi equipment delivered to me smashed to bits by the royal mail guys! But I don't blame the person that posted it, after all why would I? all the seller has done has taken the item to the post office on my behalf as an unpaid favour to me because this is more convenient for me than driving to Scotland or flying to Japan to collect it!....Do you see my point!! Alternatively you can use your own courier and have your gear collected. Bottom line.......Postage is your choice and at your own risk!
More damage or loss in post
I Repeat, WHEN YOU HAVE BID ON YOUR GOODS YOU THEN OWN THEM! If you have chosen to insure you will have been given tracking information, Remember that I have posted and insured on YOUR behalf. If the goods are then damaged or lost IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to pursue any claim with the postal company. Remember you know the goods were in order when you viewed the photo's! So you know that the postal guys damaged your goods, Please don't come back to me with any rubbish about me sorting the insurance claim out! or making out that it is in someway my responsibilty, it is not! I will try to help of course, but remember you have the goods and you have the packaging and you have the tracking number and the postal company info. Remember this is an auction so when the hammer falls you OWN the item, So if the item is damaged it is YOUR item that is damaged not mine. If you try to blame me, Fine, but any negative feedback left for me will be returned! Please accept these terms or DON'T BID !!!!!
