I had my own wedding business which started with just making wedding cakes, but quickly evolved in to becoming a One Stop Wedding Shop. We sold wedding and bridesmaid dresses, evening dresses, suit hire, flowers, favours, gifts and jewellery. We also offered a venue decorating service, chair covers, table decorations, flower arrangements and balloons. As you can imagine this was an all consuming but extremly fulfilling career with many stories to tell! After ten years of eating, sleeping and breathing the business, I decided to enough was enough, running round like a mad thing would surely take its toll. So my Husband and I decided to up-sticks and move from Portsmouth to be closer to his place of work in London. What to do next? With a fair amount of stock left from the shop, I started selling things on Ebay, learnt the ropes (sometimes the hard way) and soon realised this was the market place for me. No overheads, no shoplifters, hours to suit & pennies in my purse at last!!!
