eBay My World: ianhil( 5642)

Hi - we are Ian & Hilary and we enjoy buying and selling on e-Bay. We both work outside the home as well as running our little e-Bay business but we deal with everything as promptly as possible. Our profits are declared to the taxman so all is legal

We sell mostly Lego, Duplo, Playmobil and Warhammer items, but will sell any unwanted household items as well as our two boys' outgrown toys, action figures, CDs, whatever. We only sell what we'd be happy to buy ourselves, so everything is of good quality and nothing is broken or damaged (unless we say so in the listing, but this is very rare). Living in a house full of men, I also dabble in a few shoes/handbags/girly things just for fun.

Lego, books, Warhammer, practical items like packaging etc. Anything really that takes our eye and is reasonably priced.

We just started doing this part time to empty our loft of our childrens' outgrown toys; things have grown from there on...... We are currently helping to fund University fees.... only another five years to go.......

We really encourage UK buyers to use direct bank transfer - it is so quick and easy and there are no fees for anyone. Once you've tried it you'll almost never write a cheque again! Or you can mail a cheque, a postal order or even cash (at your own risk - but we've never had a problem so far!) We find Paypal quite expensive, but it is useful for overseas buyers, for whom it is the only accepted method of payment.

We pack really well - see our feedback for good packaging comments. We do charge a bit more than the actual postage cost, but I think almost all e-Bay sellers do this to help cover the cost of packaging - labels, bags, bubble wrap, tape, jiffy bags etc.

We have never really needed a return policy as all our items are honestly described and we only sell what we would be happy to buy ourselves. However, if a buyer is not happy we will work hard to put things right, giving a refund if necessary.
