Panosoni Lumix DMC lx3
3 of 4 found this helpful I had been looking to buy a quality camera for my 14 year old Daughter who is very much into dance/arts....e.t.c. At first I started looking at D SLR`s and in particular NIKON. However my Daughter was VERY much against carrying a camera around that was so big and bulky. I then focussed on the Panosonic lumix series (DMC lx1/lx3 or lx5) after I constantly read great reviews. I soon realised from the reviews that it is not a case of "more is better" like most people I assumed that more mega pixels resulted in better photo`s. Not the case. The lumix DMC lx3 has some fantasic features, it is small and light but yet you can feel the build quality. It provides fantastic results both still and recorded images due to its quality and the Lieca lens, possibly the best lens manufactures in the world. So if you want to capture great memories but do not want a bad back or neck ache carrying a massive D SLR around the Panosonic Lumix DMC range is the one to go for.
