Good quad core CPU for it's price
2 of 2 found this helpful It's cold most of the time even when I am gaming. All the settings are on auto in BIOS, no overclocking at all, because don't feel the need to.
I am using it for Intel based hackintosh.
It has integrated HD 3000 video chip inside, compatible with Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Leopard. It is sufficient for most of the common tasks.
The 'K' index means that the multiplier is unlocked, and that provides a good ground for overclockers.

Poor good looking game
It looks good on a first cite, but it has poor physics and movements.
There is a lack of any provoking scenario.
I wouldn't recommend it.

Nice Linux set top box for enthusiast to play with!
I had a DM500HD clone receiver. Since it used a hacked image there was no many options for software available.
A friend of mine told me about the Xtrend satellite receiver.
I read many good things over the internet and finally decided to have one.
It's a newer faster platform than the DM500HD.
It is fast and responsive.
There is a tons of features in the new Enigma 2 software. They are lots of images for the ET 4000, I am currently using OpenATV image and I am considering it the best. OpenPLI is not bat too, but it only goes beta for a years.
Flashing and updating is fairly easy.
On the other hand, I can not shake myself of the feeling that the image is little grainy on the SD channels, HD's go nice as usual. It might be some poor compression algorithm for the SD channels, I hope there will be a fix.
ET 4000 is lacking E-Sata/Sata port, there is only USB port available for connecting a hard drive.
I will recommend this product to those who like to play with nice Linux satellite receivers and use its full potential.
