This album came out in 04 but I only bought it this week as I didn't know it existed until I recently rekindled my interest in the Stranglers having seen them live a couple of months back (unfortunately without the superb Paul Roberts who's now left the band). I was a Stranglers fan in my not too distant youth, and I honestly didn't think that they could equal their past master pieaces especially minus Hugh. I was wrong. This album is absolutely superb, and it's equal if not better to their early work. Paul's vocal range is stunning, and as I say I'm gutted he's gone becuase he really has got one of the best voices I've ever heard and fits in superbly with the Stranglers unique style. I can't believe that I've been 5 years without this album. All the songs are classics, special mention to Black Veil, Dutch Moon and Norfolk Coast (the album title) but my fave is Big Change Coming - it just makes you want to pogo party go crazy etc etc. If I was English I'd say "it makes you proud to be English" (I'm Welsh). I hope that no else misses out on this classic for as long as I did. Get it please!!

Cockahoop by Cerys Matthews
Cerys Matthews has a mellow sexy voice with a beautiful Welsh lilt. The songs on this album are all very melodic and I especially like the opening track Chardonnay, and the Welsh hymn sung in Welsh.
Buy it.
