A good phone for all IM and text messaging people out there!
58 of 59 found this helpful I previously did own a BlackBerry smartphone, which was the Curve 8520. I loved the keyboard for typing. Then I upgraded to the Bold 9780, which is above par than the curve. But after I lost my Bold 9780, I was in a bit of a dilemma - Get the bold again or the new recently released curve 3G 9300?
Remembering all the ease of typing I had whilst using my previous curve, along with wanting to try out the new curve with the latest operating system (OS 6) I put my mind on the curve. And I can tell you I weren't disappointed. It has all the features the OS 5 curve had, but improved. Now with the capability of 3G, internet browsing and instant messaging are faster than before. If you update the device's software to OS 6, then you won't be disappointed. It boosts the device's performance power and helps keeping your phone fresh. The only downside to this phone is the battery consumption as well as the camera quality. But unless you're a master photographer, then this phone should be no problem.
I recommend this to all current curve 8520 users who are looking for an upgrade and also new blackberry users too. This is a very basic phone and will not bore you with all the social networking apps it has integrated. I hope this review helped you as much as it helped me :)
