Bought to replace my broken 9500. If your an ex Psion 5MX / Revo user - you'll love this (apart from the lack of touchscreen) as it's a full Phone +Psion in colour with all the base apps as you remember them (OK not the Data app..).
Geat agenda app; email; web (apart from sites with Java errors..); GPRS; spreadsheet; document editor; really it's a mini computer with a phone attached.
I also have Wayfinder 6 for S80 as my SatNav (linked to a TomTom Bluetoorh pocket GPS receiver - excellent combo.
I looked at an Android phone, really liked them but I'm on PAYG and use £100 a year at most - so paying £90+£40/month for calls I don't/ can't make was daft. I work in an NHS hospital so really a cameraphone is not a great idea (privacy) and building kills any phone signal esp in the basement. I would also have to buy a new SatNav app at ?£60 per year.
This phone does almost all the current smartphones do,; no 'social apps' but I'm not interested in those; battery life is c4 days for me; reception seems v good; responsive to buttons (my 9500 had started taking 4 sec to repond to each press...). It's small enough but opens up for a decent keyboard - I 'm not into texting using T9 predictive text rubbish.
Looks like a 'candybar; phone but opens up to much more. Over 5 yrs with my Nokia 9500 communicator was very pleased with it but didn't use Wifi or camera much. Looking forward to the same with this
Brand New BRAUN Series 5 WaterFlex WF2s Shaver Blue / Black (3-way Shear System)
12 Nov, 2018
Perfect no-compromise Travel shaver
This is a waterproof version of the 5-390 (which has a Clean n Renew system) which I find is a great daily shave.
Runs slower than it's flashy cousin but still gives very good shave (most important for a shaver..... )
Charge for lasts 6-7 days before recharge.
Big plus for me is that it shares same head and cutter as Series 5-390 so I can keep a spare (a replaced old 5-390 head and foil) with me.
I mainly use this as a travel shaver with occasional use at home so bought a Series 5 guard case for it (come with a foil guard)
You can find new (old stock) of these on eBay for c£60 - good value as I believ original cost was nearly double this
All good but why not a version for wired ethernet?
Wiring up is easy for even a DIY electrician. Instructions and manual I found clear. Hardest bit was pairing my phone to the initial set-up. Android phone just refused to connect. After a little Googling found tah turning off mobile data would help and it did...and connected. After that no problems hooking into home wifi - just make sure you have optimised your wifi channels as I found my neighbours new high power BT / Sky / Virgin hubs swamping my house
Had a couple of connections lost with Honeywell servers - their issue not mine. In that case it loses 'smart' functions such as geofencing but the programmable bits still work.#
Seems to fire the boiler less often and we certainly have fewer temp swings in the house
WOULD LIKE A WIRED ETHERNET VERSION PLEASE HONEYWELL!
