I make one-of-a-kind miniature figures, mostly in 1:12 scale. Each piece is created entirely by me and so is unique and can never be reproduced. I don't use molds.

Plants, fossils, stones, shells, original art and anything which is hand made, antiquities or good reproductions of rare things, miniatures, traditional arts and crafts like Durham Quilts or Yoruban adire cloth etc, embroidery etc etc etc.

BBC Dramas like Bleak House, anything presented by David Attenborough or Michael Palin or Ray Mears, Vic Reeves Big Night Out, Fawlty Towers, Red Dwarf, The IT Crowd, most stuff with John Thaw in it.

I have been involved in art & design all my life, training originally in Fine Art, including drawing, mixed-media, ceramics, printmaking and painting. I have a BA Honours degree and post graduate qualifications in art & design, and was a teacher of 11-18 year olds for just over 10 years in state schools before I left to concentrate more on my own creations. In schools as well as general art and design, GCSE and A Level, I also specialised in teaching large scale hand-built ceramics. I have been making miniature figures since 2003 using polymer clay, which was a new and exciting material for me. It has allowed me to combine a love of working from the figure with a long-standing love of fabrics and textiles, and of story-telling. I really enjoy creating these little characters, and I hope this shows in my work!
