eBay My World: layloli( 1313)

Hi, I am a mum of two little girls and work full time as a guidance practitioner to young people. I also run my little ebay shop as I adore children's designer clothing and enjoy being able to offer it at discounted prices!

I mainly sell Oilily and Tickittyboo currently, but intend to grow as a stockist and obtain some more sought after labels. At this time, I do have a limited number of items from CAKEWALK, IL ETAIT UNE FEE, DUCKY BEAU, FLORIANE, LILI GAUFRETTE, MAYORAL AND CONFETTI available in my shop. My items are for babies, boys and girls, plus I also sell shoes and accessories, including Oilily bags. From time to time, I clear my own girls' wardrobes and put their excellent condition designer clothing in my ebay shop with extremely cheap starting prices - ususally £1.99!

I love a bargain and buy all sorts off ebay - anything from books, toys & clothing, to a marquee and two cars!!!!

I do not consider myself as a collector, but my husband would say that I collect clothes because me and my girls have soooooo many, that all the wardrobes are beyond bursting point!!!

I consider my shop as a hobby, but I also enjoy singing, being creative and spending quality time with my family and friends.

I'm affraid I am not a big reader (don't have the attention span!), but anything I do read tends to be factual stuff and to do with medicine, biology or other subjects that interest me.

Again, not a fan of movies - they are too long for me to sit through!

I love music and at the moment I am loving Amy Winehouse, James Morrison, Mika, Christina Aguilera (sp?), Girls Aloud and the Sugarbabes (shouldn't admit to the latter two groups!) and pretty much anything as long as its not hard core rap, Ibiza music or country and western.

I do like TV and judge me not, but I watch the old soaps (Corrie, Eastenders and Emmerdale). I also love the X Factor and have watched Big Brother for the first time this year and (sadly) i'm enjoying it! I also like shows that make me laugh - things like the Catherine Tate Show, Titty Bang Bang, Little Miss Jocelyn and Little Britain of course. My serious side likes documentaries and factual medical programmes.

I have been selling my own and my children's excellent condition designer clothing on ebay, on and off for around three years and really enjoyed the thrill of an auction or sale and generally playing shop. After running out of items to sell from one season, I decided to try my hand at selling new stock and approached several European childrens designer companies to see if they would allow me to become a stockist. To my surprise, I had several positive responses, followed a few up, and here I am! My little shop is in it's infancy but I would love to expand it and for it to become more than just a hobby one day :)

UK customers - I accept paypal, personal cheques and postal orders. I would accept cash too but consider this a tad risky and at the buyer's discretion. International buyers - I accept paypal as the main method of payment. I have recently accepted payment in the form of a cheque in Euros. This has been a learning experience as my bank has charged me a £5.00 fee to send it off for conversion and then will be charging me a couple more pounds for actually converting the money to pounds sterling!! In future, I will not dis-allow Euro cheque payments, but would have to explain the buyers the associated costs, which they would need to pay!

I try to keep my P&P fees as reasonable as possible and believe that my fees cover the postage, my time and travel to the post office and the packaging used (tissue paper giftwrapping, gift ribbon and excellent quality pink plastic mail bags). All this for an average UK delivery price of £2.20 and around £3.50 further affield! As previously mentioned, I work full time so running my shop and associated duties needs to fit in with my time outside of my day job. This means that I promise to post items within 5 working days of the sale, but 9 times out of 10, items will be posted within 3 working days (if not sooner).

I do accept returns but only if the item does not fit the description for some reason - in which case a full refund (NOT including P&P) will be given, once the item has been returned to my satisfaction. I have sold hundreds of items over the past couple of years and have only had two items returned and the customers received their money back, with no problems.
