All About MeWhat everyone should know about me
My name is Terry Dene, the 50s' pioneer of Rock n Roll.I started RR when RR did not exist in the UK.I was mistreated by the British media and became the 'bad rocker' which exemplified everything that was bad about RR.Truth is I was being myself.

Business InformationHistory/background
Regarded as the British Elvis of the late 50s, Terry Dene is still recognised as one of the best voices of the British Rock’n’Roll era.A rebel, a cross breed between sacred and profane and mistreated by the British media in their attempt to trash his name, his first record ‘The White Sport Coat’ in the first 7 weeks sold in excess of 300,000 copies and together with ‘Stairway of Love’, which remained in the charts for 8 weeks running, and his British version of ‘Start Movin’ at number 14, put his records in the top 20 twice in the same year and secured his name in the British pop history and the Guinness Book of Records. Discovered in the 2 I’s coffee bar in the trendy Soho of the late 50s he starred himself in the British film ‘The Golden Disc’ based on his rise to fame, where C’min and Be Loved was launched. He toured Britain and appeared in a number of TV shows including the 6.5 special in 1957.With the good looks of a defiant free spirit and a temperament closer to a Latin Lover.

The Real Terry Dene
'Rock is about drive and I had drive to sell.' With the good looks of a defiant free spirit and a temperament closer to a Latin lover rather than an Anglo Saxon, in 1964 I became an evangelist and crossed over to singing spiritual and gospel music. I travelled abroad as an itinerary preacher playing in churches, prisons and other venues.I preached in the Scandinavian Lutheran Church where I married (for the second time) and preached for 5 years before returning to England.During that period I released 3 gospel albums and 1 EP. I released ‘The Real Terry Dene’ compilation co-produced with Brian Greggs in 1998.I appeared on Jukebox Heroes in 2001 broadcast by BBC 1, in a condensed biopic of my life and played in September 2004 with Little Richard, The Comets and Charley Gracie at the Rock’n’roll Week-end Festival in Chippenham. I appeared in the Best of British in February 2005, in Never Mind the Buzzcocks in October 2006 and Pop Britannia broadcast by bbc4 on 4 Jan 2008.
Terry Dene Now
Terry is now performing at the 100 Club in Charing Cross Road, on 25 January 2008 with other artists of that time in comemorisation of the 6.5 Special (The first British Pop radio program). He has released his new single featuring his own version of Mystery Train, C’min and Be Loved, A White Sport Coat and So Long, released for the first time.He is planning to marry for the 4th time with his new partner of 7 years, an Italian Countess from Florence and with her has opened LLTD.COM which branches out into production, music, and properties abroad. Terry still retains the authenticity of sound and feel of one of the greatest times in the music history: the time of rock’n’roll, Billy Fury, Marty Wilde and Tommy Steele: la belle époque of the post war London. In a world where music is conformed to a computerised, impersonal style, and where real quality of vocal sound is overlooked, Terry’s distinct style and power of sound still prevails intact. His new CD, Mystery Train, speaks for itsel
