Dont upgrade from a 9700 - skip to a 9790 or 9900 and cross your fingers
I have to say for those of you reading this - despite what I will say I have to let you know I love this little phone. Its size, shape, weight etc is ideal - feels perfect in my hand. Now onto the real reviewing - I thought an upgrade from the 9700 would have brought a little more than it did. The better camera is great but hardly noticeable and the upgraded ram - well I cant even tell - it stills run rather slowly. The os 6 software has brought some improvements im sure but I think just a stable version of os 5 would have been better. Im having constant connection issues as I always did with the 9700. It seems like internet connectivity isnt constant. There should be an 'always on' mode like for android phones who, Im assuming must have suffered the same problem in early days. RIM has no excuse for this considering the phone is internet based for all users. They have been manufacturing for a lot longer than some. I look forward to being able to upgrade again to the 9790 or 9900 - fingers crossed that egg timer wont be a constant pain in my bum. And that I will actually be able to surf the internet...
