Wont be the last AMD Processor I buy :-)
AMD Processors, usually cheaper that Intel ones, just as fast and last for ages. AMD's seem to go on forever, had Intel's die before now, so if you have an older PC swapping over to AMD could give it a new lease of life. Got this one to boost my now very old XP machine and I needed its XP 2000+ to fix another box, which, is now running very well. Standard Socket A so will fit a good number of Socket 462(A) Motherboards. To get the best out of this CPU you ideally need PC2700 memory, however, it runs XP SP3 OK with 1.7G of PC2100. Personally I like AMD processors and so far not had any issues with them, reliable, quick & good value for money, what more could you ask for? Next project, LINUX print & scanner server using a pair of AMD Sempron 2200's all for under £30 :-)

    Toshiba Satellite Pro 6070 Bargain
Typical Toshhiba quality, rock solid, transferred HDD from broken Satellite L20, had to do a Repair Windows install due to the Toshiba Bluetooth drivers stopping both normal and safe boot, so for £60 now have a functioning laptop (needed new power supply). Although Toshiba's can be a pain due to the number of drivers they need to make things work properly and I can't get any sound on this one, they are well built and last well past the sell by date of others. Of the laptops I had a go at working on and fixing Toshiba's are one of the easiest and more often than not you can find a repair manual or diagram via Google, which, make things easier. If you are considering a 2nd User laptop, Toshiba are up there with IBM/Lenovo and Sony, with Acer fast catching up. Well built, spec'd and well worth trying out. PS For Toshiba's AccuPoint II mouse you need LogiTech's MouseWare 9.0 or above, you wont find a Toshiba driver :-s
