My name is Al Baynham and I started mid20c (formally Retro Centre) in the summer of 2002 when I returned to live in the UK after living in Greece and more recently Australia. I run the business from Reading in England and I have over 30 years experience in the antiques business, now specialising in mid 20th Century design. I am a self confessed design junkie and an obsesive collector with a real passion for European art glass, West German art pottery and mid 20th Century art and sculpture. I keep in stock a wide and varied range of items from the 50's, 60's, 70's & 80's including art, ceramics, clocks, furniture, glass, homewares, lighting, rugs, textiles and wallpaper. I also provide a interior design service and source products for film, television, theatre and more recently themed bars and night clubs.

Overseas transactions I accept PayPal only. UK transactions I accept PayPal, cheque or cash if item is being collected. I also accept all major credit/debit card when collecting or over the phone.

I charge for actual postage plus packaging materials but try to use recycled packaging as much as possible for which I do not charge. I despatch within 2 working days of payment.
