Rosemary's Baby
2 of 2 found this helpful I watched this film over the weekend. I had heard how horrific it was from friends.
I must say that I thought the film was good. Although not as good as others had made it out to be.
The film is about a young couple who move into a large spacious apartment. There are two nosey neighbours from the start who are obsessed with Rosemary and her welfare. On one occassion Rosemary thinks she can hear some strange chanting going on next door, but at this time thinks nothing of it. Well not until she and her partner are thinking about having kids. Things with the neighbours butting in on every part of Rosemary's life we soon learn that there is something sinister with these neighbours.
In some areas of the film, it leaves me thinking "Oh as if she would do that..." some bits of the film are disjointed and don't fit in with everything else, and the ending certainly is very rushed. i think somebody could make a wonderful remake of this film. The story has potential.

Voyage Of the Unicorn (2003)
1 of 1 found this helpful Voyage of the Unicorn, I stumbled across this film browsing through Ebay films. I hadn't heard of it before, but I had the feeling that it was my kind of film. Already a fan of Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, Sinbad the sailor, I thought I had better watch this film.
However this film isn't as good as the others. It does have a good story line and a top cast too. It does have all the magic that other films like this has. you know the variety where ordinary humans, end up in a fantasy world and have to help some (what look like Jim Henson) mythical creatures to safety and kill the baddies...
I think you will have to watch this film a few times before you fully understand what is going on.

Rhinestone Cowboy (Various Artists) 2005
Rhinestone Cowboy is a really good cd. It contains a selection of the finest country singers and the best country songs.
My only disadvantage is that some of the songs are cut off well before they trully end. When I say cut off, I mean that the sound is turned down and faded off. It definately happens on "King of the Road" and a couple of the others. It is a good cd though. I really like the songs they picked.
It would make a good cd for any country and western fan, or even a fab cd for someone who is just getting to know Country and western music.
