Trying to be different.
I am English and now 57 years old, and with my wife have recently moved to france. I gave up a job that I had been in for nearly 20 years to try something different. Have done my house up, and am now looking for a job. I speak fluent french, but despite looking for 6 weeks am having trouble getting interviews, So am spending some time enjoying life. Have had a <fabulous money could not buy a holifday like that> holiday in Morocco. have some very special photos, and will do a book one day.. For now I am selling a few bits so as to not draw too much from our meagre bank balance, so bid high please.... Though I have lived an extremely privileged life, and have experiences that the richest, cleverest poorest daftest could not dream of, I have never had a lucrative one. I do my best to enjoy life, and would really like to get my little business of the ground, that of helping english to discover burgubdy wines... I could teach french and cooking too,and the countryside is idyllic.
Business InformationHistory/background
We used to buy and sell collectables in England, before moving here to france. I did this over several years, and have a few bits and bobs that either did not sell at the time, or I liked so I held on to them. There are also a few bits that were put to one side hoping that they would do better than the bank rate... like many buyers. Some have been o.k. some not. In most cases I tried to follow the business side of the my suppliers, so for example I frequented Lorna's factory monthly over several years, so my knowledge I fairly good, except for dates... and then at the time I did not keep notes. just bills, for the accountants. I regularly attended fairs such as Ardingly, Swinderby, etc. I did this in parallel with my other proper job of warehouse supervisor.
Payment policy
We deal with pay pal, because it is rapid clean efficient, and safe.
But we would be happy to take personal cheques from buyers who have dealt with us previously, as they would know that though it takes time, we are perfectly trustworthy, and do not intentionally keep people waiting. So please do not hesitate, to request details.
Delivery information
From here in France there are several ways of posting, and none are very cheap.
The cheapest way is by small parcel post up to 2 kilos. It takes up to 8 days, but so far it appears to be 4 or 5.
BUT there is no proof of posting, so we must add 4 euros to upgrade to recommended. REPEAT customers could waive this extra charge, knowing that we can be trusted to post, and they will be trusted to declare receipt....
Return policy
We accept that photos are no substitute for the real thing, so we shall of course give full refunds, less postal charges, and pay pal commissions, in the very unlikely event that you have an issue with your purchase. We would of course expect you to return the item in its original condition, at your own expense. However, given the costs of such operations before you act please contact us, there could well be a more cost effective way.
Contact information
We are more than happy to reply to any mails through ebay.
