When I'm not searching for beautiful antique and vintage jewellery for Nicholsons Jewellers' eBay Shop & NicholsonsJewellers.co.uk website, I spend sometimeg growing our business and talking to like-minded peope on Twitter (twitter.com/nicholsonsgems) and Facebook (facebook.com/nicholsonsjewellersilkley). Away from work, I try to swim at least 3 times per week and go to the gym, I love reading - especially crime - on my Amazon Kindle. I find the Amazon Kindle Bookstore a fantastic source of new writing and I attend the Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival. My other interests include speaking Spanish. I'm also a fair weather gardener and walker.

My husband's experience of selling jewellery and assessing diamonds began in the late 1970s and we started out together by selling at quality antique fairs around the UK. Over 20 years ago now, we fell in love with the Roman Spa Town of Ilkley in the West Riding of Yorkshire in the UK and established our shop there. Our shop looks up to the beautiful Ilkley Moor. We have a combined experience of over 50 years and are members of the National Association of Goldsmith with qualified Gemmologists on our staff. The business was managed at first by my husband whilst I had an office based job. I helped out in the shop on Saturday and then increasingly more often as I gave up more and more of my office job. I eventually retired in 2001 and immediately became re-employed in our business, building up the Nicholsons Jewellers website and, of course, Ebay.
