A stroll down memory lane for some.
This is one of those CD albums some people call a Golden oldie Well they don’t come much older than Flanagan and Allen. This is an archive recording digitally enhanced. This means that the original version had some distortions and background noise, which a technician has tried to smooth over, patch up and generally make it sound better. Digitally enhancement can only do so much and no matter how good the technician or their equipment is the CD can only ever be patched up. Don’t let that put you off. The background noise and minor distortions are exactly how the first generation of listeners would have heard this music over their old valve radios. In a way it adds to the nostalgia of the album. This is a CD for reviving the memories of an older relative or friend; it’s not the sort of CD that is going to acquire a whole bunch of new listeners. Great for a stroll down memory lane for the older listener, but not one for the younger and more adventurous generation. Your old auntie or uncle will love it, but anyone below 60 may have a different opinion.

    Man in Black Classic Favourites
This Johnny Cash CD’s stands out from a whole bunch of release and re release because it is The First Original Hits of the Man in Blacks music. The classics I walk the line, Folsom Prison Blues and many more favourites will swing your emotions from upbeat to moody and blue, and back again. There will only ever be one Johnny Cash and this distinctive CD captures memories and feelings you thought you had forgotten. A Must own for any JC follower.

Great for a knees up Party
Chas and Dave what a gor blimey guv’ner pair of singers. Let’s be honest who would sit down and contemplate the lyrics and artistic genius of their songs – NO ONE. But if you want to get a party going and get everybody out the kitchen and singing along to some horrible old favourites you couldn’t pick a better CD. Is the music good – No – Is the music great for parties – YES This cockney pair are just what you want for a good old knees up.
