Great bit of kit, but with a couple of downsides - including high price.
1 of 1 found this helpful For the serious macro photographer this is a great bit of kit. Plenty of light at full power allows you to use small apertures to get a larger depth of field. It has some tungsten lamps to help focusing which can be very useful.
Supports external high voltage power units, and can trigger other EF flashes capable of slave mode. Annoyingly it cannot take on the slave role itself.
First major downside is that the flash heads are quite big, and they stand out from the lens more than is ideal, so if you're working at 1:1 magnification getting the light close enough can be a challenge. Some flexible arms with flash attachments can help with this.
The other real issue is that if you don't have a lens with a 58mm filter thread you need to buy an adapter. 67 and 72mm are available but shockingly expensive for what they are.
Overall a great bit of kit, but not cheap.

OK, but a couple of annoying design issues.
Good value for money. A little noisy, but OK. The big issue is that you have to isolate the input and output audio grounds from each other. If you don't, it doesn't work. You also need to isolate the power supply ground from the audio grounds.

Great value for money. Hardware good, use DD-WRT software for best results
Great value for money. This little AP has a slightly better range and throughput than the Netgear B/G MIMO AP it replaced. Stock firmware is poor, as is its documentation and I had trouble setting up multi SSID mapped to separate VLANs on the LAN port (although it should support this). I moved to the latest compatible DD-WRT build which so far seems to work well (and has fixed my multi SSID to VLAN problem). http://www.dd-wrt.com.
Note - flashing your AP with third party software is risky. You could end up with an unusable box. Only try doing this if you are prepared to take that risk.
