I know that the seller,geoff888district will leave negative feedback in relation to my recent purchase from him but here is the background to this! Therefore, as I have a 100% perfect feedback rating with 1435 feedbacks to my credit, I'd better explain!
I recently bought a book from geoff888district. Unfortunately,the book arrived damaged and seller REFUSED to do ANYTHING about this until I was left with NO option but,on the advice of ebay,to raise a dispute with PayPal. I tried to amicably solve the problem with seller who told me that it was MY responsibility to claim against the post office for the damage. Royal Mail would not allow me to do this as I was not the sender. Any reasonable person would have taken the book back,covered the return postage cost and refunded all money paid. But not Geoff. After he sells you an item,any problems are your problems, NOT HIS! I should also say that I suggested,as ebay and PayPal suggest you do,that he offer a reasonable refund of some sort.
Unscrupulous seller continued:
Had he done this, I would keep the book and donate this to a local charity. Eventually, I was left with no option but to turn to ebay for advice. I was advised to open a dispute with PayPal which I did. PayPal advised that I should return the book and he should issue a full refund but I had to meet the costs of return. I wrote to the seller asking if he would refund these as well and his reply was 'Soory I Will go along with E Bay dispute centre ruling I will refund But you must return the item using Tracking
I will inform them when it arrives'. I am sure that 99% of sellers would have refunded this cost (no doubt Royal Mail would have refunded this had he claimed).
All in all, this has left a very bitter taste in my mouth and I feel that it is only fair to explain the full story to you and allow you to make up your own mind as to who is at fault here!
