We are a small company working in the building trade throughout Lancashire. John Jackson, our founder joined the National Federation of Builders in 1922, having set up in buiness after being demobbed from the Royal Flying Corps. Although our origins are as joiners, we directly employ staff who are skilled in bricklaying, plastering & tiling, flagging, glazing, groundworks & lock repairs. We also have a number of subcontractors who undertake for us various specialisms, including electrical, plumbing & heating works. Our clientele includes various public sector organisations such as hospitals, schools & UCLan, as well as private customers. In the natural course of our work, we accumulate materials both reclaimed and new. We are now trying to declutter and make some space. We are slowly working our way through our offices, workshop & yards and listing those items which were too good or valueable to be disposed of, but are surplus to our requirements.

We accept cash on collection, postal orders,cheques, BACS transfers & paypal - please note funds must have cleared into our business account before goods can be sent out or collected. Due to current paypal regulations, we can not accept paypal when items are being collected.

We try to minimise these charges by recycling packaging materials, whenever possible. Please remember that, in addition to the postage, our charges include both an element for packaging materials & the time spent by our staff packing the goods etc. Collection only goods may be able to be delivered locally by our staff, subject to an appropriate charge, which would be agreed at the time.

Generally, the goods we sell are sold as seen or as is. However, if you are unhappy with the goods, it is always worth contacting us to discuss the matter. We would appreciate this being before leaving feedback, as we believe that feedback should reflect the entire transaction from start to finish.
